Dia de los Muertos
The parade stepped off from Teatro Bregamos in Fair Haven on Saturday evening.
Students from the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences carried a giant red falcon as the last of the giant puppets in a long line of skeletons, birds, guitar players, even a train representing La Bestia. La Bestia is the Mexican train known as “The Beast,” which ferries tens of thousands of migrant workers north each year to the United States from Central America and other southern points. In August, the train derailed in the southern Mexico state of Tabasco, injuring 22 and killing six.
