1.     Cell Phones and Electronic Devices

a.     First Offense: Student is given one reminder/warning to put the device away.

b.     Second Offense: Student must give his/her device to the teacher until the end of the period. If he/she does not hand over the device, an administrator will take and keep the device until the end of the day. 

 

2.     No Hats/Hoodies/Headphones  

Headphones must be put away and out of sight.

 

3.     Assigned Seating  

If a student won’t sit in his/her assigned seat, he/she will be asked to leave the room and can come back when he/she is ready to take that seat.

5.     Tardiness/Late to Class

a.     Student must enter quietly take his/her seat and begin working. 

b.     Teacher will call home to notify parents/guardians of the student coming late to class.

 

6.     Exit Policy 

The teacher will dismiss students from their seats, NOT the bell.

 

7.     Restroom and Water Breaks

a.     One student at a time will be given a pass to the restroom or to the water fountain.

b.     A maximum of 5 minutes per class is allowed.

c.     Students will not be allowed to use the restroom or leave the classroom during the first 10 minutes or the last 10 minutes of the period unless there is an absolute emergency.

 

8.     Food/Drinks/Snacks

a.     Only clear water will be allowed in classrooms.  No other food or drink will be allowed in classrooms.

b.     Any food or drink that is given out by a teacher is allowed in classrooms.

 

9.     Foul Language

Students must speak to one another and the adults appropriately.  Negative language/cursing/mean talk/hate speech/etc. will not be tolerated and will be addressed by teachers.
